Case Study: Hôtel Vendôme

The Hôtel Vendôme is situated in the heart of Brussels. With its familiar atmosphere, the hotel is a place where everybody can feel at home, its an ideal base for as well business travelers as for tourists.
The hotel is currently working on a new big extension project. At the end of the rebuilding phase the Vendôme-Marivaux complex will offer 152 rooms and suites as well as 20 congress rooms for 50 to 1200 persons.

Challenge

To accommodate this extension, telephony infrastructure needed a large and complicated functional and capacity upgrade. During the infrastructure change, which will take two years, the hotel maintains its hotel services; therefore telephony needs to remain operational.

Solution

  • Upgrade and extension of current Alcatel 4400 equipment;
  • Move of the PBX to the new server room;
  • Provision of temporary equipment to avoid service interruption;
  • Integration of telephony with hotel application for billing.
