Challenge

Gouda’s ageing communication system could no longer be expanded beyond the existing 1000+ extensions so the imminent termination of its service contract encouraged the council members to look for a new flexible and scalable system.

NextiraOne’s comprehensive voice solution was based around the Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise platform, serving a total of 1000 digital extensions, 25 DECT extensions and voicemail. 60 IP phones were installed at the Stadskantoor (Town Hall) and the town’s museum with a further 10 IP connections for the council’s remote users
